EnviroKnow is based on the assumption that there is a huge amount of misinformation out there about environmental issues, and that when people have access to better information they make better decisions.

The goal is to make useful information accessible to people who need or want it. This takes three forms:

First, we maintain a repository of source documents related to environmental policy: legislation, reports, memos, studies, sign on letters, advertisements. These documents take the form of PDF’s, Images, Videos, Audio, Maps, etc and are embedded in the blog in easy to view and share formats. We search the web daily for these documents and solicit tips from readers, bloggers, activists and nonprofits.

Second, we aggregate 5-10 news headlines daily, much like Raw Story or Talking Points Memo. We drive traffic to stories that need broader exposure and we always link to the best available sources.

Finally, from time to time we publish original reporting and commentary as well.

The hope is that this becomes a go-to source of information for bloggers, journalists, activists and anyone else speaking truth to power on environmental issues.
